Gordon and Marilyn Macklin Foundation Business Cards.png

In 2020, while studying at the Macklin Business Institute (MBI), I was honored to be commissioned by Donald Dawn—nephew of NASDAQ founder Gordon Macklin—to design the new visual identity for the Foundation.

The core of the design was the "Ripple Effect," a philosophy central to the Macklin family’s legacy. It represents how a single, intentional action—like investing in education—creates an expansive, lasting impact. My challenge was to translate this abstract concept into a functional mark that maintained visual harmony with the existing Montgomery College and MBI brand ecosystems. The resulting logo serves as a bridge between the program’s prestigious history and its mission to empower the next generation of business leaders.
